I grew up in suburban New Jersey, with everything you're talking about. I am considered the "poorest" in my family because I didn't finish college and I don't go with the greed-rat-race you talk about. We have a tiny bungalow a quarter of the size of the house I grew up in in the middle of a hayfield. We made sure we had our own well. We are heart-friends with a three-generation farming family who is brilliant at doing more with much, much less -- and we learn from them gratefully.
My sense is that this soul has always been around for ending times (various wars that took down kingdoms and empires), and this is just one more. But this time, I intend to live through it and hand off a candle and some hard won wisdom to the next generations.
Keep telling the truth. And thank you.
