Gifts in funky packages: sometimes what you really want (or need) presents itself in a way you don’t expect or would never ask for.

My business came to a crashing halt in the fall of 2019 when I sustained a back injury. It meant no more loading in heavy gear to the venues week after week, and no more hours-upon-hours in the car on the road.

I needed to change the paradigm entirely.

I got off the road and put my business completely online.

What happened a few months later?

Why, funnily enough, the beginning of the Years of Murder Hornet Bingo and Hold My Beer.

As a result of the Universe’s insistence, I have weathered the sea change just fine, and my career is still intact.

So: Is business suddenly slow, and you can’t figure out how to get clients to ring your doorbell? Perhaps it’s time for you to review, revise and change things around.

Do you have a cold that makes you cancel plans? Perhaps you need some self-care time.

Is the larder rather bare, and you have to figure out how to make do with what you’ve got? Perhaps your inventiveness button has gotten stuck and needs to be lubricated.

The Universe is not out to give you a “gotcha” moment. Spirit doesn’t delight in mucking up your life. No, what It wants to do is present you with the time or situation you need to make improvements, adjustments, and give yourself the focus and attention you’ve been shoving to the bottom of your “to do” list.

Today, take a look at what you THINK is problematical. Undo the funky wrapping. And see if what’s underneath isn’t what you were really looking for.
